ROXIE PERKINS
Playwright
Roxie Perkins is a writer with a diverse body of work. Her pilot, "TRU BEAUTY", received honorable mention on the "2015 WriteHer List"- an annual ranking of the best, unproduced spec pilots by women. Her original opera, "LOVE", is being produced by Beth Morrison Projects and will be presented at Arizona State University in 2017. Her plays have been produced at New York's Downtown Urban Theater Festival, The LARK, CalArts, Oberlin, HERE Arts Center, UCLA’s MFA New Play Festival, On The Verge Repertory Festival, UCLA's Francis Ford Coppola One Act Marathon, UCSD's MFA Wagner New Play Festival, and A Working Theater. She was a Finalist for the Aurora Theatre's "Global Age Project" and was nominated for the Kilroy's "THE LIST"- an annual ranking of the best, unproduced plays by women. She was a Semi-Finalist for the Eugene O'Neill National Theatre Conference, and the Princess Grace Award. She was the youngest of the 2014 Sundance Playwright Fellows to be invited to the Ucross Artists Residency and was awarded the Gaffney Award for Emerging Voices.
