Margaret Lazarovits is a founding company member, production associate, past director, and stage manager at On the Verge. She is currently in her senior year at the University of Chicago, finishing up a BA in Physics with a minor in Theatre and Performance Studies. A graduate of Laguna Blanca's class of 2014, Margaret studied directing with Kate Bergstrom there for two years. Margaret held multiple roles for On the Verge's first season, including Footprints at Laetoli (Director, Stage Manager) and Caylee's First Big Show!!! (Director, Stage Manager). At the University of Chicago, she has studied directing with Shade Murray. UChicago credits include University Theater's West Side Story (Consuela), Miss Julie (Asst. Director), and Macbeth (Asst. Director). Other theatre credits include Plaza Playhouse Theatre's Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (Asst. Director). She would like to thank her family for their never-ending love and support, Kate Bergstrom for her inspiration and mentorship and the ever-growing OTV company for their intense creativity and passion.
