BEN SAUNDERS

Ben Saunders is a professional pianist, music director, and accompanist who has been working throughout the West Coast for nearly 15 years. He is a graduate of the Cornish College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music degree in both Classical and Jazz piano performance. He is a lifelong student of piano, including Classical, Jazz, and Blues piano, and has studied under Ike Jenkins, Larry Karush, Jovino Santos Neto, Randy Halberstadt, Dawn Clement, Glory Fisher, and Oksana Ezhokina.

Ben works as a music director for musical theatre, with credits featuring Disney's Newsies (Disney Theatricals Pilot Program; Dos Pueblos Theatre Co.), Young Frankenstein and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (dir. Kate Bergstrom), The Last Five Years (Elements Theatre Collective), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Out of the Box Theatre), and The World Goes ‘Round (Theatre Group at SBCC). Ben has also worked with numerous performance ensembles, including the World Premiere of Success: A Musical (Center Stage Theater), and various chorale, country, folk, and R&B groups.
